Jio Gemini Pro Offer Ended: What Happens After 18 Months

Jio's free Google Gemini Pro offer has ended: Jio's FAQ says it is no longer available on new recharges. If you claimed it, you keep the full 18 months while you stay on a ₹349+ unlimited 5G plan. It does not auto-renew; afterwards Google AI Pro costs ₹1,950 a month.

Key points

  • • Google's [Antigravity model list](https://antigravity.google/docs/models) says Claude Sonnet 4.6 and Opus 4.6 "will be removed on November 2, 2026", that the newer Claude 5.5 models are "available on Google AI Pro for non-trial subscriptions only", and that [Gemini 4 Argon](/guides/gemini-4-argon) needs "paid Google AI Pro plans" or a trial on eligible premium devices.
  • • Jio's terms say you can cancel through the MySubscription section of the MyJio app; you can't pause it.
  • • If you didn't claim the Jio offer, or want something after it ends, the [Gemini](/tools/gemini) and ChatGPT entry plans both cost ₹399 a month in India: Google AI Plus and ChatGPT Go.

The Jio Gemini Pro offer, which gave Jio users 18 months of Google AI Pro free with their 5G plan, has quietly closed. Jio's help page now reads: "Please note that the Google Gemini offer has ended and is no longer available on new recharges or plan upgrades." The offer's terms page has been replaced with a single line, "The Google Gemini Offer Is No Longer Available", and the offer page itself now redirects to a page-not-found error.

Key points

  • New claims are closed. Jio's original terms set the offer period from 30 October 2025 to 29 October 2026, and we found no extension.
  • If you already claimed it, you keep the full 18 months, as long as you stay on an unlimited 5G plan of ₹349 or more.
  • The subscription does not auto-renew. After 18 months, Google AI Pro costs ₹1,950 a month or ₹19,500 a year.

Is the Jio Gemini Pro offer still available?

No. Jio's original terms, which we read in archived copies of its terms page, said: "The Offer shall start from 30th October 2025 and remain valid until 29th October 2026, or such other date as may be decided by the Company at its sole discretion." Jio's terms system shows the page was changed to "no longer available" on the evening of 29 October 2026, the last day of that period.

We found no announcement of an extension from Jio or Google, and no news report of one. If you were hoping to claim it this week, the offer was worth ₹35,100 by Jio's count (₹1,950 a month for 18 months), and it is now gone.

I already claimed it. Do I keep Google AI Pro?

Yes. Jio's help page says: "If you have already claimed this offer in the past, you can continue to enjoy your full 18-month Google AI Pro subscription at no extra cost." The 18 months start from the day you claimed it in MyJio and linked your Gmail account.

Three conditions from Jio's terms can end it early:

  • Your recharge lapses. You must stay "continuously" on an unlimited 5G plan of ₹349 or more. If you don't, Jio can suspend access; it resumes when you recharge, but the 18 months keep running, so lost weeks are not added back.
  • You port out of Jio or stop using the number. Jio says it will cancel the subscription.
  • You delete the Gmail account you linked; Google can then revoke it.

What happens after the 18 months?

It simply ends. Jio's terms say: "The Subscription will not auto-renew after the Subscription Period ends." Unlike some other free AI offers, you will not be charged automatically. Because the first claims were made on 30 October 2025, the earliest Jio subscriptions run out around the end of April 2027.

If you want to keep the features, Google AI Pro costs ₹1,950 a month or ₹19,500 a year on Google One's Indian pricing page, as checked on 30 October 2026. Plan for storage too: AI Pro includes 5 TB, and a free Google account has 15 GB. If you have filled more than that with Gmail, Drive or Photos, Google restricts those services until you free up space or pay.

Why can't Jio users use Claude or Gemini 4 Argon in Antigravity?

Google's Antigravity model list says Claude Sonnet 4.6 and Opus 4.6 "will be removed on November 2, 2026", that the newer Claude 5.5 models are "available on Google AI Pro for non-trial subscriptions only", and that Gemini 4 Argon needs "paid Google AI Pro plans" or a trial on eligible premium devices.

Google's documentation doesn't mention Jio. But several users on Google's developer forum report that their Jio plans are treated as promotional, with Argon and Claude 5.5 unavailable, and say they will lose third-party models on 2 November. Google has not replied publicly, and Jio's terms note it is not responsible for "restricted access or limited functionality resulting from conditions imposed by Google". If you rely on these models for coding, test your account after 2 November.

How do I cancel the Jio Google AI Pro subscription?

Jio's terms say you can cancel through the MySubscription section of the MyJio app; you can't pause it. There is no cost to keeping it until it ends, so most people should leave it running.

What are the cheaper options now?

If you didn't claim the Jio offer, or want something after it ends, the Gemini and ChatGPT entry plans both cost ₹399 a month in India: Google AI Plus and ChatGPT Go. Google also offers university students aged 18 and over a free year of Google AI Plus if they redeem by 31 December 2026, though Jio users should read our student offer guide before claiming. Our ChatGPT Go vs Plus comparison and AI subscription price in India report compare what each costs in rupees, and our AI trends in India report covers the wider shift away from free AI plans.

FAQ

What is the last date of the Jio Gemini Pro offer?

Jio's original terms set the offer period to end on 29 October 2026, and on that evening Jio changed its terms page to say the offer is no longer available. You can no longer claim it.

Can I still claim the Jio Gemini Pro offer?

No. Jio's help page says the Google Gemini offer has ended and is no longer available on new recharges or plan upgrades. We found no extension.

What happens after 18 months of Jio Gemini Pro?

The free subscription ends and does not auto-renew, according to Jio's terms. To keep Google AI Pro, you would pay ₹1,950 a month or ₹19,500 a year to Google.

You must stay on an unlimited 5G plan of ₹349 or more. If your recharge lapses, Jio can suspend access until you recharge, and the 18-month period does not pause.
