How We Review AI Tools
Every tool on BestAI gets an editorial score from 1 to 5 across four criteria: ease of use, features, value for money, and output quality. The overall score is our judgment based on the research below, not an average of other sites' ratings or of user reviews.
What our reviews are based on
- The tool's own pricing page, plan limits and terms
- Official documentation, changelogs and release announcements
- How the tool's features and pricing compare with its direct alternatives
- Our own hands-on use, only where a review says so. Those reviews name the person who used the tool and show a “Last reviewed” date for when they did.
What our dates mean
“Updated” is the last time the page's content actually changed. “Last reviewed” appears only when a named editor has reviewed the tool hands-on. We don't change dates to make pages look fresh.
Comparison and alternatives pages
Some “X vs Y” and “alternatives” pages are compiled automatically from our individual tool reviews, using the same scores, prices and pros and cons. These pages say so and link to the full reviews. Comparisons written by an editor are marked with a byline.
Use of AI
Some articles are drafted with AI assistance from the sources they cite. An editor reviews, edits and fact-checks every draft before it is published, and we never present AI-drafted text as someone's personal experience.
Independence
Scores and rankings are never for sale. If a company pays for a “Featured” placement, it is labeled “Sponsored” and it does not change the tool's score or its position in any ranking. See our affiliate disclosure for how monetization works.
Corrections
Pricing changes overnight and features ship weekly, so we get things wrong sometimes. If you find an error, email corrections@bestai.in with a link to the page and what's outdated, and we'll check and fix it.
Who writes these reviews
Reviews are published by the BestAI editorial team. When a review draws on a specific editor's own use of a tool, it carries that editor's name.
